Department of Studies and Research in Library and Information Science was established in 2005 with the objective of imparting high quality education in Library & Information Science with competence in meeting the challenges of the knowledge society. The Department has a well-equipped computer lab, information processing tools and well-qualified faculty members with rich academic, industrial and corporate experience. The faculty members have successfully carried out major and minor research projects funded by UGC and ICSSR. They are actively engaged in publishing papers in reputed international and national journals and conferences, and have won several best paper awards.
